Volunteer & Get Involved
We are looking to partner with Adults, Families, and Young Adults in Blair County
A Stakeholder is an individual or organization that has an interest in mental health and/or substance abuse. A Stakeholder is one who can impact or be impacted by the mental health and/or substance abuse system.
We are committed to effective Stakeholder engagement. Your input and participation are essential to help us achieve our vision and core values. You can help ensure that policy and decision making is developed with the best available information.
The Stakeholder Committee in Blair County is a group of adults, youth/young adults, and family members who work together with Blair HealthChoices and Community Care to support the behavioral health system in Blair County. The group provides feedback on the system, identifies opportunities for improvement, identifies solutions to concerns and discusses any other important topic that members feel the need to address. We support the Consumer, Family and Satisfaction Team, who collects surveys from HealthChoices members, by providing feedback to add/edit questions that are on the survey. The committee reviews survey results to determine gaps and areas of need. The feedback that is provided is discussed internally and is shared with providers. Provider feedback as a result of the surveys is shared with the members on the Stakeholder Committee. We value feedback and encourage input from consumers, persons in recovery, and families in the community to support Reinvestment opportunities and other quality improvement initiatives. Your feedback helps to inform providers and Community Care about how services can be more effective to support recovery and resiliency.
The committee is a way to let your voice be heard and be a part of an action-oriented group who can work together to improve the community we live in.
